I agree that because everything is caught on video now and we have 24-hour news that it makes society appear worse than it was 40 years ago. And maybe it is worse in some respects, but it is certainly better in others. We are much closer to equality now than we were in the '60s. Science and technology have certainly advanced greatly since that time. In regards to aspects where we are worse, perhaps it is because we have not learned to be responsible with our new found technologies and freedoms. It is a learning process.

To explain: My daughter and her 3 year old daughter live with great grandpa (my Dad) as he can not live alone anymore. He has a super fat dachshund that does not like children. My gd pulled a blanket out from under the dog when the dog was sleeping. The dog bit her cheek. The gash was 1.5 inches long and held 12 stitches. The battle is on. I have told my dad he must cooperate in helping keep the dog blocked off from gd. My daughter and gd spend a lot of their time in my daughters bedroom as he still allows the dog free roaming around the house. I have also told him that I would try to get the dog into a rescue. He has told my daughter she can move. I have told him that leaves him in a nursing home without the dog. He has had about 3 weeks to cooperate and still, today he threw a fit at breakfast time because the dog was supposed to be contained in another room while they ate breakfast. He abbruptly threw his napkin down and told the dog they were going to the bedroom. He said he was with the dog and she mattered to him most and he refused to put her in a different room gated or otherwise. I plan to talk to him again after work today. Either gate the dog off so gd can move from her room to her mommas room and to the bathroom or the dog will go to a rescue (if a rescue will take her). What would YOU do?????????

Bird as Omen?

As I type this, there is a bird sitting four feet from our front door switching between repose and watching intently. He has been there since before I came home and he did not move or try to flee when I walked right past him to go into the house. It's dark, so it's hard for me to guess the type, but he looks larger than a house finch, so I'm guessing he is a sparrow. He even allowed me to come back out of the house and visit with him. Is this an animal omen? I couldn't find much on sparrows, just crows, ravens and owls. If this is an omen, how should I interpret it? He's still hanging around on the porch.

WHOSE FAULT IS THIS ACCIDENT?

My boyfriend was involved in a car accident two years ago and is now being blamed. The accident occured when he was turning left when he was hit on the pengers end of his car by a motorcyclist. I have an american bulldog (roxy 11 months) and a pitbull (dax 6 months) and they're on nutro ultra large breed puppy holistic. They seem to be doing well on it roxy has food allergies and I've tired almost all the non holistic foods such as science diet purina eukanuba iams royal canin and so on. Why won't my snake eat?

I found an Eastern Hognosed Snake in my back yard just over three weeks ago. I have always loved snakes, so I decided to keep him. He is only about a foot long and pretty thin still. When I found him, he had just eaten a toad that was too big for him, and had a nice lump for about a week. Since I've had him, he hasn't eaten anything. I've tried toads, tree frogs, crickets, and a fully thawed pinky that was split brained and one that was covered in toad blood. My boyfriend did a terrible thing and I don't know what to do?

He stole items from his work and told me it was ligit and his work knew he'd taken it. About 2 weeks ago he seemed different as if he was guilty. He is such a great guy, I've been ill for 12 weeks and he has taken care of me and everyone loves him. It was just so unlike him and not his character. He's never been in trouble before. Strange "scraping" noise from under car?

I have a 1987 Chevy Astro Van and recently there has been a noise coming from under the car. It started a few days ago and seemed like it was only happening while driving and it wasn't very loud. However this morning when pulling into work it was much louder & even continued after I had stopped. I shut off the engine for a few minutes & turned it back on and the noise continued. I can only explain it as a scraping noise, but that may not be correct. The noise is hard to explain. My power steering hasn't been working for a couple weeks so I'm not sure if maybe it is related to that? I have put in fluid last week but it slowly leaked out & I have been dealing with driving with no power steering, but it is now making this noise.

This is probably a stupid question, but I would like to know if it is possible for me to sell my house/flat which was built with the help of a bank-loan and which is not yet fully repaid. Of course until the loan is fully paid back, I am not the owner of the house/flat, but still, is there any way? I am considering a situation like this, suppose I purchase a flat taking a home loan and before it is fully repaid, I am forced to shift to some other place (as required by job). Then what do I do? I think that the head gasket in my car has gone/is going...One night on the way home from work I noticed a really high pitched noise, so I pulled into the supermarket car park and popped the bonnet open. I noticed that the engine temperature was all the way to the top! The fans were still going when I switched the engine off so it had obviously overheated. Then, being a woman, I opened the water thing not expecting it to hiss and spray steam everywhere... Luckily I was fairly close to home so I managed to drive her very slowly back, where she then drank two whole watering cans of water. Ever since this, I have been having to fill up my water before journeys and I've noticed that when I take the oil cap off it looks creamy. It's about time I booked her in and got her fixed, but after researching, it looks like this could cost at least �400. Is this right? I unfortunately can't do a DIY job,I wouldn't know where to start! I'm kind of pre-empting that being a 21 year old girl with not mive amounts of car knowledge, I will go into the garage and they can blag me with whatever jargon they like and charge as much as they like, because in that situation I probably will have "Muppet" written on my forehead! Well 2 months into our relationship she tells him she's 2months pregnant and she's keeping it. I tried to stay with him but I couldn't take seeing her walk around carrying this mans baby who loved so much, so I ended our relationship and moved. He always have his other 2 sons on the weekend and never offer to get my son too and have to spend time with them at his mothers house because his son's mother don't want them at my house, he hang out ALL the time and im left with all the responsibilities as parent. All she have to do is pick the phone and say their sons needs something and he there but my son has to wait. He feels like the only thing he has to do is go to work and provide for his family. Well, I work also and still come home and take care of my son and everything else. Im so tired of dealing with this and my son is only 16 months. I love him so much but I don't know what to do. People tell me that the clubs and bars do better durrng these times but I personaly think this time is different than other similar dark economic times in the past.
