Which test is best to use to make statistical comparisons?

I have data for means of a school partnership which I want to compare with national means. What is the best way to see if there are any significant differences between the means for the school partnership and national means. I also want to check for differences between the different key stages, what is the best way to check for significant differences. Please help me as I have been stuck for days!!!!!!!!!
